Coral Pink National Park

Liz & I have driven by this National Park for years on HWY 89, north of Kanab, Utah. Finally we drove in to see it. It’s a four wheeler paradise! It’s beautiful!

Photo Club

Throughthelens photo club is a very informal group of great people who love to take pictures. I’m the grandpa ‘freshman’ in the club, who is soaking up all their experience, knowledge and passion. Lots still goes over my head, but it’s fun! We’ll resume in September!
The colored cutlery was fun. I blew that one up to make a huge poster for a church event: the underlying message was – festive – fun & food! SLC rapper- Scoob Serious made this Navajo pot for me, I love the distorted lines. Then there is galaxy whirl, which will soon be the background of another poster.

Array of Spring Colors

Winter 2007/08 was too long. So Liz & I had been drinking in the colors and warmth of spring. Thankfully others have worked hard gardening, allowing us to be the recipients of their beauty. These beauties were found in various places: Debra’s garden, SLC-LDS Temple, Eccles Art Center in Ogden.

Sunday Morning Snow

If you’ve only lived in Utah, you’re totally spoiled. Why? We have the greatest snow on earth and the bluest skies! There are a few more things too, but I’ll save that for later.

Spring in Phoenix

February may have been cold in Ogden, but the California poppies in Phoenix had already starting blooming. Check out this awesome sunset by the Gila River in Goodyear, AZ - The barrel cactus is loaded with water ready to bloom - Grandson Davie by Goldwater Lake in Prescott.

The Light of Christmas

The Christmas lights of Ogden are a mass of shimmering brilliance, at times a blurring echo of yesteryear but always a reminder of our nativity. These lights are truly ephemeral, but there is one that’s eternal.
